Mika's journey into the realm of professional composition took a momentous leap when he lent his musical prowess to the video game What Remains of Ish by Studio Misfits, a startup studio based in Lebanon and Canada. His contributions, including both music and sound effects, proved to be an integral part of the game's immersive narrative, earning him recognition for his ability to seamlessly weave the rich tapestry of his Lebanese heritage into the fabric of contemporary music. His compositions evoke a fusion of traditional Middle Eastern elements, modern orchestration, and synthetic innovation, crafting a unique auditory experience that captures the essence of his cultural roots.

 

Beyond the realm of entertainment, Mika's philanthropic spirit led him to collaborate with the Shriners Hospital for Children in Canada. There, Mika crafted music and sound effects for animations aimed at bringing joy to children suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta and the dedicated hospital staff.

In 2022, Mika achieved a remarkable milestone by being selected as one of the Top 200 composers in the European Recording Orchestra's prestigious Call for Scores. Out of over 700 submissions, Mika's orchestral composition stood out, securing a position in the top 28%, a testament to his exceptional skill and artistic vision. Additionally, Mika's chilling composition secured him a spot as one of three finalists in the Berklee Horror Re-Score Competition, showcasing his versatility and ability to evoke emotion through his craft.

 

Mika's academic journey further solidifies his standing in the music industry. He honed his craft at the renowned Berklee College of Music, where he refined his compositional techniques and expanded his musical repertoire. This educational foundation became the springboard for his subsequent success as a composer.

A staunch advocate for community development, Mika joined The Gaming Academy in Lebanon, an initiative designed to empower and amplify the voices of game developers in the MENA region. His role as an organizer and educator reflects his commitment to fostering talent and creating opportunities within the gaming industry. Conducting workshops on Music and Sound Design for Video Games, sharing his knowledge and experience with aspiring artists. Through these efforts, Mika aims to inspire the next generation of composers and sound designers, fostering a legacy of creativity and innovation.
